Say goodbye to dry, tight skin. Our soap’s rich blend of oils and butters keeps your skin soft, hydrated, and glowing.
Each bar of soap is handmade with love, using selected natural base oils that nourish and protect your skin, ensuring every wash feels like a spa day.
Hi! Welcome to Melting Suds. My name is Yami Regalado and I am the owner and creator behind all of the handmade soaps you’ll find here.
I started this journey because of my passion for natural skincare and the belief that what we put on our skin should be as pure and nourishing as possible. After struggling with skin sensitivity and around-the-clock dryness, I decided to create my own soaps using high-quality and safe ingredients that I know I could trust.
Each bar of soap is carefully handmade in small batches with love and attention to detail. I use only the finest plant-based oils, butters, and safest additives to ensure that every soap is as gentle, moisturizing, and effective as possible.
When I’m not making soap , I am either taking care of patients as a registered nurse, at the gym or spending time with my family. I truly believe in the power of nature with simple ingredients to nurture our skin, and I’m excited to share that with all of you.
Thank you so much for supporting my small business and allowing me to bring my passion for handcrafted skincare into your home. If you ever have any questions, feel free to reach out—I’d love to hear from you!
Much love,
Yami R.
Shea butter is highly beneficial for glowing skin due to its moisturizing, soothing, and healing properties. It is rich in fatty acids, vitamins A, E, and F, which help to hydrate, improve skin elasticity, calm irritation, and boost skin healing.
Coconut oil offers a wide range of benefits for the skin due to its moisturizing, antimicrobial, and antioxidant rich properties. This oil offers deep moisturization, antibacterial and antifungal, promotes healing, improves skin tone, natural make up remover, helps with dry skin, and protects from UV damage.
Castor oil offers several skin benefits due to its unique composition of fatty acids. This oil moisturizes deeply, reduces inflammation, promotes healing, fights acne, improve skin tone, reduces fine lines, cleanses, and detoxifies.
Olive oil is a highly beneficial natural ingredient for the skin, offering a variety of nourishing and protective qualities. Some key benefits include deep moisturization, rich in antioxidants, anti-aging properties, soothes irritation, cleansing, and protects against ultra violet (UV) damage.
Sodium hydroxide, or lye, is a very strong, basic substance that’s always used in cold process soap-making. Think of it as a kind of "magic ingredient" that helps turn oils (like coconut oil or olive oil) into soap. It works by breaking down the oils in a process called saponification, where it mixes with the oils to create soap and glycerin (a moisturizing substance).
Even though it sounds harsh, there’s no lye left in the soap once it’s made. It’s completely safe to use after the soap has gone through this process. In simple terms, lye is the key ingredient that helps make soap by turning oils into something we can use to cleanse our skin!
Sodium lactate is a natural salt made from lactic acid, which is found in things like milk and fermented foods. In soap-making, it’s often added to help make the soap feel smoother and more moisturizing on your skin.
In simple terms, sodium lactate helps your soap harden more quickly and last longer. It also helps the soap glide on your skin more easily, leaving it feeling soft and hydrated. So, it’s a helpful ingredient that makes your soap both effective and skin-friendly!
Titanium dioxide is a white powder that’s commonly used in soaps and cosmetics. It's totally safe and is often added to make the soaps whiter and acts as a natural sunscreen (though it’s not a replacement for sunscreen.)
In simple terms, titanium dioxide is what helps give soap its bright, clean appearance, and it can also help protect your skin from the sun. It’s completely safe to use in skincare products!
